Hi, I'm Jake
I am a Burlington based maker, educator, and artist just trying to pursue my dreams! Thanks for visiting my website.
I love making things that spark joy, solve everyday problems, and inspire the next generation of makers.
I hope you enjoy browsing all of my creations.
My Story
I've always been a maker, tinkerer, and problem solver.
Early on, I built with whatever I could find --- like duct tape and soda bottles to create bottle "robots".
Growing up in Colchester, Vermont, making was a constant in my life, but I never considered it a career path.
After graduating from Colchester High School, I headed to Miami to study Business Analytics, Finance, and Economics. Living in Miami deepened my appreciation for Vermont in a way I didn't think was possible. Quickly into my degree I knew I wanted to return home for good.
After college I spent four years working in marketing operations and software implementation, sharpening my professional skills, but finding little fulfillment.
In 2024 I decided to take a leap and turn my passion for making into a full-time career!
Today, I work at the Generator Makerspace in Burlington, where I get to build, learn, and bring creative ideas to life every day—both for myself and others.
As a freelance maker, I thrive on learning new techniques, solving problems, and crafting meaningful projects for people. I'd love to help you with your project!
